Nicola Bosco-Alvarez

WBF Facility Host and director at Harvey Milk Center for the Arts

Director & Choreographer, Nicola Bosco-Alvarez began her career in musical theatre as an Artist in-Residence and Choreographer with the San Francisco Arts Education Project under the close mentorship of Danny Duncan, Emily Keeler and Camille Oliver-Salmon.  After twelve years with SF ArtsEd teaching and learning with youth 9-14, she made the transition in 2007 as full time Director/Choreographer with YPTMTC.  Her passion to work with teens and provide a professional setting for them to explore and create has been an amazing experience, and invaluable artistically. Working with such talented young adults and musicians is truly  a dream come true for her.  Nicola has taught with high schools and community theatres through out the Bay Area, and danced professionally with Carlos Carvajol.  She has an Associate Credential of the Cecchetti ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) has studied professionally in Florence, Italy.
