Panel Discussion – Personal Activism

3-3:35pm: A Personal Journey that Activates Creative and Social Change

Category: Personal Activism

1st Floor Art Gallery

Talia Hoffman, Community Organizer and activist, will help spark a discussion with our panelists to examine the story of personal life experience that actively challenged or even disrupted the status quo.  The often quoted vision by Mahatma Gandhi – “Be the change you wish to see in the world” asks us first to investigate our own personal journey so that the change starts with us. Joining Talia will be Jackie Ngo (UCSF PrideMed), Lorris Eichinger (Ballet22), and Nick Ward (SF LGBT Center), all of whom have very different paths but a comm0n theme of self-discovery that initiated a course of creative social change. Join for a lively conversation to inspire reflection on your own personal journey and the power within you to live your life courageously with pride in service to humanity.
