Stephanie (She/her) is a queer anti-Zionist Jew, choreographer, dancer, bilingual poet, visual artist, and professor. With 25 years of experience working between the US, Ecuador, and Mexico, her artistic practice is shaped by her activism and queer feminism. She holds a PhD in Performance Studies from UC Berkeley, an MFA in Dance from NYU, and is a two-time Fulbright Award grantee as a choreographer (Mexico & Ecuador). Her first bilingual book of poetry, Tectonic Tongues / Lenguas Tectónicas was published by Black Lawrence and Nomadic Press in August 2025. She is faculty at California College of the Arts and San José State University and makes surrealist vulva and watermelon jewelry.
